About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Critical Care Unit at Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time and works the night shift. The technician will support patients with daily living activities, assist with safely moving and positioning patients, observe and report changes in patients’ condition, document basic care activities and patient observations, and maintain a clean and organized patient environment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide preferred.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Support patients with daily living activities, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence during their care.
Assist with safely moving and positioning patients, helping prevent injury and promote mobility and recovery.
Observe and report changes in patients’ physical, emotional, or mental condition, ensuring the care team can respond quickly and appropriately.
Document basic care activities and patient observations, helping maintain clear and accurate care records for the team.
Maintain a clean, organized patient environment and ready-to-use equipment, creating a safe and comfortable setting for care.
