About The Position

As a Patient Care Tech, you are on the front line of care, anticipating and answering the needs of patients. This role involves hands-on, personal care nursing. You will assist in collecting data for patient assessments, including vital signs, weights, blood glucose monitoring, and intake/output. You will also assist with patient hygiene, nutrition, and personal care needs, while maintaining and advocating for a safe and clean environment. Completing patient rounding is key to driving patient satisfaction and safety. The role encourages enhancing knowledge and seeking opportunities for career development, as well as embracing teamwork.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, appropriate work experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 1 year of Clinical Care experience; CNA or PCT experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collection of data used for assessment of patients' conditions as assigned, including vital signs, weights, blood glucose monitoring, I&O, etc.
• Assist with the patient hygiene, nutrition and personal care needs and patient-related tasks.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Maintain a clean environment in patient care area.
• Complete patient rounding in accordance with patient assignments and schedule to drive patient satisfaction and safety.
