About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Cincinnati. The role supports safe patient care and efficient center operations. The technician protects patients from injury, operates equipment safely, follows procedures for reporting and correcting unsafe conditions, adheres to standard precautions, and helps improve the flow and efficiency of the center.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Complete a BLS course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA), Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Patient Care Technician (PCT).
Responsibilities
- Protect patients from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources.
- Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and machinery, and follow procedures for reporting and correcting unsafe situations.
- Adhere to standard precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the center’s flow and efficiency.
