About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a vital member of the collaborative nursing team at Medical City Frisco, supporting Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The PCT assists with vital signs, mobility, transfers, personal care, patient comfort, and other daily needs; helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans; and provides non-medicated care. The role uses attention, empathy, and teamwork to support patient safety, comfort, dignity, and recovery.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of the employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
