About The Position

The Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse, supporting licensed professional nurses and helping maintain a safe, healing environment. The role gathers vital and other clinical information, reports changes in patient condition to the nursing team, and contributes to the overall patient assessment. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a day schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a holiday rotation and no weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No experience required.
• No supervisor experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience as a CNA, nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician.
• Certified Nurse Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse and promote patient- and family-centered care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Perform vital signs, intake and output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing as requested.
• Collect clinical data and report changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assist the nurse with patient and family education.
• Document patient care activities using correct medical terminology.
• Act as a 1:1 patient safety sitter when necessary.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available to meet each patient's needs.
• Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in professional development.
