About The Position

Under the direction of a qualified Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Tech performs various patient care activities and related clerical functions supporting the clinical operations of the Emergency Department. The role provides technical support, participates in unit activities as a team member, and participates in unit, departmental, and organizational improvement activities as assigned. The position is also responsible for reviewing, completing, and terminally filing Emergency Department records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Computer literacy.
• Current BLS certification; provided during the first week of hire.
• CPI certification obtained within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• Medical Terminology.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• EKG experience.
• Emergency Department experience.
• Medical Terminology course.

Responsibilities
