Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Med Surg
About The Position
The Patient Care Tech assists nursing staff in providing basic care to adult patients, including vital signs, hygiene, and monitoring. The position measures and records patient intake, outputs, and oral, auxiliary, and rectal temperatures, and promptly advises a supervisor of abnormalities. It documents care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record. The Patient Care Tech also performs Unit Secretary duties as needed, provides clinical and reception support, and manages unit supply procurement, receipt, and storage as directed by the Charge Nurse and/or Director. The role enters orders and tests accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Florida CNA licensure.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- Healthy Interventions within 30 days of hire.
- No experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy experience.
Responsibilities
