About The Position
The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Care includes meeting patients’ dependency needs, such as nutrition, hygiene, and safety, as well as providing physical and psychological comfort measures to patients and their significant others. The technician performs job duties in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and Florida CNA certification; alternatively, current enrollment in an R.N. program and completion of Fundamentals in Nursing are required.
- Applicants pursuing the R.N. program qualification must upload a transcript.
Responsibilities
- Provide indirect and direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Assist with patients’ nutrition, hygiene, and safety needs.
- Provide physical and psychological comfort measures to patients and their significant others.
