About The Position
Ascension Sacred Heart Bay is seeking a Patient Care Tech for their Cardiovascular Med Surg department in Panama City, FL. This is a full-time position working three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating weekend schedule. The role involves providing direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient conditions, documenting records, and maintaining a clean patient environment.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification.
- Recent hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Document necessary records.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
