About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Radiology Aide for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. This role involves providing direct patient care within the Radiology Department, specifically assisting with MRI procedures. The position requires working nights, Monday through Friday, with potential for call. The department is covered by call after midnight, and the aide will work with another Tech Aide or MRI Tech, never solo. Orientation is 8 hours and non-billable. This need is for an aide in the Radiology Dept/MRI. Travel pairs of MRI Tech and MRI Aide are welcome, with the MRI Tech need opening once this need is filled or a pair is identified. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at upload, with no more than 5 days accepted. All RTO and scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission, as the facility will not approve requests after the offer is made.

Requirements

  • 2 Years CURRENT MRI experience
  • GE Equipment experience
  • Meditech Expanse experience (strongly preferred)
  • Willing to work weekends and evenings
  • Willing to take call as needed
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle
  • Perm address must be included in traveler profile
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Checking patients’ blood pressure, heartbeat and pulse regularly
  • Providing compassionate care by listening to patients’ concerns and guiding them by answering any questions or concerns
  • Monitoring patients’ conditions and providing updates to healthcare team
  • Turning, repositioning and move patients between beds, wheelchairs and seats
  • Helping patients use the bathroom and dress
  • Monitoring patients’ food and liquid intake
  • Escort patients to get X-rays and other imaging tests
