About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the Oncology department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position involves providing direct patient care, assisting with patient mobility and personal care, monitoring patient conditions, documenting information, and maintaining a clean patient environment and equipment. The schedule is PRN with 12-hour night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• 1-3 years patient care experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
