About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the Oncology department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is part-time, working two 12-hour shifts per week on the night shift, from 7 pm to 7 am. The primary focus is on providing direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and organized patient environment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• 1-3 years of patient care tech experience in a hospital setting.
• Open availability.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
