About The Position
Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford is seeking a Patient Care Tech for their Med Surg | Post Surgical department in Murfreesboro, TN. This is a Full-Time, Day shift position. The role involves supporting a respectful and comfortable healing environment by assisting patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living. You will enhance patient safety and recovery by aiding with the careful movement and positioning of individuals as directed by the clinical team. You will act as a vital observer for the nursing staff by identifying and reporting changes in a patient's physical, mental, or emotional condition. Additionally, you will maintain the integrity of the clinical record by accurately documenting patient observations and care activities in a timely manner, and ensure a safe and efficient care environment by keeping patient rooms orderly and maintaining the functionality of medical equipment.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
