About The Position
Acts as a liaison between nurses, patients, patients' relatives, and the healthcare organization. Communicates patients' questions, complaints, problems, and concerns to appropriate staff members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT as listed on State Registry (required) or Graduate LPN
- CPR Certification (AHA or ARC)
Responsibilities
- Taking vital signs
- Collecting specimens
- Performing catheterization
- Assisting patients with eating, personal hygiene, and grooming
- Answering call lights quickly whether that of assigned patient or not in caring manner
- Transporting patients to other departments
- Assisting with admissions and discharges
- Acting as a patient sitter
