About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech Float in the Float Pool department at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. The position operates on a night shift schedule and is PRN (as needed). The core of the role involves obtaining and recording vital signs, accurately charting patient data, and promptly reporting any abnormal findings. Additionally, the Patient Care Tech will monitor and document fluid intake and output, perform blood draws following proper techniques and safety protocols, and provide direct patient care. This includes rounding with patients and assisting with activities of daily living to support their comfort and mobility.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
12+ months of direct care experience as a Patient Care Technician in a hospital setting

Responsibilities
