About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech Float who will support multiple units throughout the hospital. The schedule is full-time, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 am - 6:30 pm), with a rotation for every third weekend and every other holiday. The position is located in Anderson, IN, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Support patients with their daily living activities and personal care, ensuring they maintain their dignity and comfort throughout their hospital stay.
Protect patient safety by assisting with careful movement, positioning, and transfers to prevent injury and promote physical recovery.
Advocate for patient well-being by observing and reporting any changes in their physical or emotional condition to the nursing team for immediate clinical attention.
Create a healing environment by maintaining clean, organized patient rooms and ensuring that essential medical equipment is ready for use at a moment's notice.
