About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the Emergency Department at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is full-time and operates on a day shift schedule. The Patient Care Tech will provide essential support with personal care and daily activities, assist with patient mobility and positioning, observe and communicate changes in patient status, organize patient spaces and prepare medical supplies, and accurately record patient observations.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

Uphold patient dignity by providing essential support with personal care and daily activities, ensuring a respectful and comfortable environment for healing.
Support physical rehabilitation by assisting with safe patient mobility and positioning to enhance recovery and prevent clinical complications.
Act as a vital link in the care team by observing and communicating changes in patient status, allowing for rapid and effective clinical responses.
Enhance unit efficiency by organizing patient spaces and preparing essential medical supplies to ensure the clinical team can focus on care delivery.
Promote high-quality care outcomes by accurately recording patient observations to provide a clear and reliable history of the recovery journey.
