Patient Care Tech ED
About The Position
Support a respectful and comfortable healing environment by assisting patients with essential personal care and the activities of daily living. Enhance patient safety and recovery by aiding with the careful movement and positioning of individuals as directed by the clinical team. Act as a vital observer for the nursing staff by identifying and reporting changes in a patient's physical, mental, or emotional condition. Maintain the integrity of the clinical record by accurately documenting patient observations and care activities in a timely manner. Ensure a safe and efficient care environment by keeping patient rooms orderly and maintaining the functionality of medical equipment.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in an Emergency Department is required.
Nice To Haves
- Nurse Aide preferred.
