About The Position
The Patient Care Tech/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education. Applicants must meet at least one of the listed qualifications: nursing-program enrollment and completion of a fundamentals of nursing course within 90 days; recent unsuccessful candidacy for professional or practical nursing licensure; qualifying nursing assistant certification or registration; documented recent experience as a nurse assistant, emergency medical technician, or surgical technician; recent completion of a qualifying patient care technician or UAP training program; completion of a professional or practical nursing program outside the United States while awaiting licensure examination in this country; or proof of patient care technician certification. Physical Abilities Testing is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Must meet at least one qualifying pathway: be enrolled in a professional or practical nursing education program and have completed, or complete within 90 days, a fundamentals of nursing course; have been a professional or practical nursing licensure candidate who failed the state licensure examinations within the past three years; hold nursing assistant certification as defined in section 198.082, RSMo; have documentation of current certified nursing assistant registration in another state meeting 42 CFR 483.151 and 483.152; have documented nurse assistant, emergency medical technician, or surgical technician experience within the past three years; have completed a qualifying patient care technician training program or UAP training program within the last three years; have completed a professional or licensed practical nursing program outside the United States and be awaiting the licensure examination in this country; or provide proof of patient care technician certification.
