Temp Medical Assistant (Patient Care Specialist II)
About The Position
A Patient Care Specialist II (PCS2) supports AHF’s commitment to excellent patient care and operational efficiency. The role contributes to a positive patient experience and patient retention while helping the healthcare center operate seamlessly. PCS2s transition among clinical, administrative, and front-office duties and participate in cross-functional rotations to develop skills across multiple healthcare center functions. The PCS2 works as part of a close-knit team and collaborates with AHF employees and departments to provide compassionate, high-quality care and uphold the organization’s mission and values. AHF has a collaborative structure in which staff are accountable to multiple leaders. This is a temporary assignment of approximately six months.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- National certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform medical assistant clinical functions, including phlebotomy.
- Perform administrative and front-office duties.
- Process patient referrals.
- Identify and verify insurance coverage.
- Participate in cross-functional rotations and adapt to different healthcare center functions.
- Collaborate with AHF employees and departments to support patient care and operational efficiency.
- Promote a positive patient experience, patient retention, and AHF’s mission and values.
