As a Patient Care Representative at our award-winning ophthalmology practice, you’ll be the face of our front office by greeting patients, managing smooth check-ins and scheduling, verifying insurance, and handling Electronic Health Records. Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic health records.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and scheduling procedures is a plus.
Bilingual Preferred.

Responsibilities

Extend a warm greeting to patients, ensuring their experience is positive and comfortable.
Handle incoming calls with professionalism, taking messages, and providing accurate information as needed.
Efficiently manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.
Coordinate appointment scheduling and confirmations, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
Verify insurance eligibility and update patient information.
Collect co-pays and patient payments with precision and courtesy.
Utilize our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system effectively to maintain accurate patient records.
Obtain referrals and prior authorizations, ensuring timely access to care.
Manage confirmation calls and patient recalls supporting continuity of care.
Other duties as assigned.
