About The Position

The Patient Care Representative will advocate for patients' appointments and healthcare needs. This role involves communicating unresolved issues to management for timely interventions, maintaining accurate records of calls, and efficiently fielding patient questions and concerns. The representative will process messages and report them to the respective physicians and their teams as necessary. Additionally, they will attend and actively participate in team meetings, answer phones according to department standards, and communicate effectively in the call center assignment. The position requires consistently providing service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers in a manner that reflects MACC’s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service. Other work-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at the level of a high school graduate
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and time management skills
  • Experience with current office technology, proficient with computer office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year experience in a clinical setting preferred
