About The Position

Provides leadership in clinical problem solving, high risk patient process, internal and external incidents and codes, compliance standards and identifies staff development and remediation needs. Represents entity and BHSF in the absence of senior leadership or as delegated. Provides support and direction to all hospital departments, collaborates closely with hospital leadership. Responsible for 24/7 staffing needs to ensure patient safety and budget. Requests and oversees Flexible Staff from the Central Staffing Center during assigned tour of duty. Collaborates with nursing leadership in the care of patients to ensure quality, safety and patient and family centered care standards are met. Responsible for patient flow through the centralized prioritization of patients and staff placement per entity standards. Responds to all emergencies and is required to clinically evaluate, provide care and determine further care options. Works collaboratively with physicians to facilitate patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum required experience 5 years.
  • Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards.
  • Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Able to prioritize and delegate.
  • Clinically competent and able to step in to emergency or relief situations.
  • Graduate of Registered Nurse program with an active Florida RN license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Life Support Certificate (BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS) as per department standard.
  • BLS required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in area of practice preferred.
