About The Position

The ED Team Coordinator performs clerical duties, order and data entry utilizing multiple computer systems. This role effectively communicates and facilitates all departmental orders and results to ED staff. The coordinator serves as the front-line departmental ambassador in customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor with internal and external personnel. This position works in conjunction with the ED team in order to expedite patient care and throughput and provide excellent quality care in a family oriented hospital setting.

Requirements

  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
  • Basic Life Support.
  • Previous experience as a Unit Secretary/Adm Partner desired.
  • Completion of a medical terminology course or previous experience in admitting/emergency or physician office (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution, peer respect, critical thinking skills, self-motivated, customer service skills and/or orientation.
  • Exhibits flexibility in scheduling to adapt to special circumstance prior and ability to multitask.
  • Boca/Bethesda Only: BLS certification obtained within 6 mo. for employees hired prior to 4/30/2023.
