This posting is for PCNAs interested in part-time and full-time openings at Fairview Hospital. -Part-time PCNAs will work 24 hours weekly, including rotating weekend and holiday requirement. -Full-time PCNAs will work 36 hours weekly, including rotating weekend and holiday requirement. Available Shifts: Days - 6:30am - 7:00pm Nights - 6:30pm - 7:300am PCNA – All Units. Including, but not limited to, Oncology & Women's Health, Med/Surg + Telemetry, Emergency Department, Progressive Coronary Care, Cardiac ICU, Neurology/Stroke, Post-op, and more! Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new hire period.
  • State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA).
  • Nursing students: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
  • Patient care may include vital signs, weight, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheter.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
  • Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
