Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained upon hire or within the new hire period
  • Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will also be considered

Nice To Haves

  • State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), including: Measuring vital signs and weight, Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living, Performing point-of-care testing, Assisting with dressing changes, Applying external monitoring devices, Removing urinary Foley catheters
  • Observe and report changes in patients' physical, mental or emotional conditions to the RN.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and organized patient environment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
