We are looking for a Registered Nurse who will be responsible for the implementation, delivery, coordination, organization, and supervision of the hospice team. Also, this individual coordinates scheduling of staff, monitors the performance of staff, assists in the orientation of staff, and serves on committees to improve operations. He/she is responsible for the provision of skilled assessments, reassessments, development/implementation/revision of the plan of care, and delivery of care in order to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families consistent with agency policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the state of Georgia
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of Georgia
  • Ability to either drive or have available reliable transportation and present evidence of valid automobile liability insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and to comprehend written and verbal communication
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, fax, and copier machines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team setting as well as independently
  • Ability to work with patients and families dealing with life-threatening illness and death
  • Ability to assess and respond to the needs of patients and families in varied settings
  • Demonstrates skill in nursing practice
  • Ability to cope with family’s emotional stress
  • Tolerance of individual lifestyles
  • Ability to make meaningful observations and write comprehensive accurate reports
  • Demonstrates excellence in managing human resources
  • Demonstrates effective public speaking skills and the ability to develop good interpersonal relationships

Nice To Haves

  • One of the two years of experience in an acute, oncology home health, and/or hospice setting
  • Knowledge of the Medicare Certified Hospice Program

Responsibilities
