Adventist HealthCare's Outpatient Orthopedic Practice seeks to hire an experienced Patient Care Coordinator for our Orthopedic Surgery location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Patient Care Coordinator you will serve as the primary contact for total joint replacement patients throughout the surgical journey, guiding them through pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative processes. You will coordinate appointments related to surgery, medical clearance, pre-admission testing, rehabilitation, and follow-up care. This role also involves managing patient referrals, scheduling initial appointments, obtaining treatment/visit authorizations, medical documentation, and communicating with insurance carriers, adjusters, attorneys, providers, and patients. Additionally, you will be responsible for post-operative pain management in collaboration with the surgeon's pain management protocol, and provide educational materials and answer patient questions regarding the surgical process. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
