About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Smyrna, GA. This role serves as a crucial link between patients, physicians, and the pharmacy, requiring excellent customer service and communication skills. We offer a supportive, family-like atmosphere and are committed to the well-being of both our patients and employees. The initial training period involves a Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM schedule, which will transition to an 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM schedule after successful completion.

Requirements

Currently registered in the state of Georgia as a Pharmacy Technician.
High School Diploma.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to accurately transcribe information and data.

Nice To Haves

2 years of relevant work experience in a pharmacy.
Experience handling pharmacy insurance rejections and billing.
Experience in a retail pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

Build relationships and provide excellent customer service to an assigned caseload of pharmacy patients, addressing their healthcare needs and goals.
Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences, including patients, doctors, hospitals, pharmacists, and staff, both in person and over the phone.
Accurately document patient notes, verify insurance information, and maintain healthcare records within the pharmacy software system.
Collaborate within a team environment that values employees as more than just a number.
