About The Position

The Patient Care Coordinator coordinates appointment scheduling for patients who submit requests online through channels such as ZocDoc, websites, landing pages, and Solution Reach across all clinics. The role also manages the patient recall program, responding to patient inquiries and helping patients schedule appointments while following clinic scheduling protocols and applicable safety procedures.

Requirements

• Three years of work experience in a Patient Care Coordinator role or similar.
• Detail-oriented, professional, and reliable.
• Management and organizational skills to support leadership of this function.
• Ability to follow or provide verbal and written instructions, with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations.
• Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and teammate support needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Basic-to-intermediate mathematical and/or analytical ability for problem solving.
• Basic-to-intermediate computer operation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Specialty knowledge of systems relating to the job function.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position and a general understanding of HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients online or by phone to schedule appointments.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of clinic scheduling protocols.
• Follow up on patient inquiries by phone or online.
• Contact patients for recall programs and schedule appointments for them.
• Manage patient inquiries in ZocDoc, Solution Reach, and other applications to ensure timely responses.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while supporting high-quality service and customer service.
• Perform other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.
