About The Position

Our front office team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and seamless experience for every patient who walks through our doors. We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-focused individual to join our team in a full-time Patient Access Representative role. The Patient Access Representative is responsible for performing key front office and clinical administrative tasks while maintaining a professional, friendly, and service-oriented approach. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to delivering excellent patient care and customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new systems

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in patients in a warm, professional, and approachable manner
  • Communicate procedures and registration requirements to patients upon arrival
  • Schedule appointments in person and over the phone using an electronic scheduling system
  • Manage high-volume patient call queues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collect co-payments and ensure accurate transaction processing
  • Verify, update, and maintain patient demographic and insurance information
  • Safeguard confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Navigate multiple computer systems and software platforms efficiently
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Support a team-based approach to ensure the best patient experience
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with practice policy
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
