Requirements

• Patient Care Associate (PCA) 60% PT Days
• Hourly rate based on years of nursing experience/education
• Part-Time (2 shifts/week)
• Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Every third weekend
• Chillicothe – 4W
• Not Required to be On-Call
• Access to confidential patient information
• Works under the direct supervision of a Patient Care Coordinator / Registered Nurse, RN or Assistant Nurse Manager
• Works under indirect supervision of the Nurse Manager or Director

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality, direct patient care to an assigned group of patients.
• Activities of daily living.
• Utilization of safe patient handling equipment.
• Measure and document intake and output.
• Foley removal.
• External urinary catheter management.
• Telemetry monitor set up.
• Blood glucose monitoring.
• Oxygen set up and tasks delegated per scope of practice and skill set.
• May provide clerical support to the care team including acting as a liaison facilitating communication with or between other care providers and visitors directly or via telephone.
• Works collaboratively with other care team members including the patient and family.
• Participates collaboratively with RN to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Communicates with all team members regarding care provided by them to the assigned patient group.
• Carries out daily activities under the direct supervision of a Patient Care Coordinator / Registered Nurse, RN or Assistant Nurse Manager and indirect supervision of the Nurse Manager or Director.
