About The Position
The Patient Care Associate assists nursing service personnel with patient care activities and related services necessary to address patients’ personal needs and comfort. Duties include assisting with personal hygiene, taking vital signs, changing bed linens, serving and collecting food trays, providing between-meal nourishment, and cleaning, sterilizing, storing, and preparing supplies. The role uses commonly applied concepts, practices, and procedures in the field and follows instructions and established guidelines under immediate supervision. The position typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Patient Care Associate or PCA is associated with eligibility for the advertised sign-on bonus.
