Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma required.
  • Experience as a Nursing Assistant, Pt. Care Technician required.
  • Participation in and successful completion of a classroom-based/Staff Development guided training program.
  • Participation in and satisfactory completion of a floor-based “hands-on” orientation/training program with a preceptor before completion of probationary period.
  • Successful completion of BLS Provider Course and EKG training/competency prior to being released from unit orientation, must maintain BLS certification and EKG competency throughout duration of employment.
  • Completion of hospital Crisis Prevention (PMCS) training course within 3 months of hire, and renewal as per facility guidelines.
  • Position will primarily be light to medium work requiring lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and reaching are required.
  • Requires 20% sitting and 80% standing or walking.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word is required.
  • Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks.
  • Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment.
  • Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks.
  • Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • A.A.S. in Medical Technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of distribution systems relating to the movement of material and people preferred.
  • Secretarial and/or clerical (office) experience preferred.
  • Hospital background preferred.
  • EPIC Clin Doc/ASAP certification E.H.R. experience preferred.
