About The Position
HSHS St. Vincent Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join its med/surg unit. The role provides nursing support in a fast-paced environment and is suited to patient-focused, mission-driven caregivers who want to apply their clinical knowledge. The position is based at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and is scheduled for 36 hours per week, with a PM shift and every-other-weekend work required. HSHS serves communities throughout Illinois and Wisconsin through 13 hospitals and numerous community-based health centers and clinics, with more than 13,000 colleagues. Requirements
- At least 1 year of nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience, or 6 months of such experience plus the required CNA or PCT certification.
- A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification in the state of practice is required for candidates qualifying with 6 months of experience; certification is not required for candidates with more than 1 year of experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
