About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant is responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Incumbents perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient. Mother/Baby, R1E, has 24 private rooms caring for the new mom and baby. The unit skill mix includes RNs, PCAs and lactation consultants.

Requirements

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
• No Experience
• BLS Certification
• If hired for the Transitional Sub-Acute Unit (TSU) at Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital (RHRH), PA Nurse Aide Certification
