About The Position

Southwest General Health Center is a 352-bed community hospital located in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. We are a Level III Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center, serving our community for over 100 years. The Patient Care Assistant position is on the 4E Medical Telemetry unit, a 32-bed unit serving an adult population with various diagnoses. This unit is described as busy and a great place for new graduate nurses to build skills, with a focus on teamwork and friendly staff. The Patient Care Assistant is responsible for providing or assisting with patient care, transportation, maintaining a safe and clean environment, monitoring equipment, and documenting on appropriate forms. The role requires the ability to provide care to different age groups based on their specific needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Six (6) months of prior healthcare experience required
• BLS required, may obtain within 90 days of hire
