Patient Care Assistant - Contingent
About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant position is part of the ICU Department and is a contingent position working approximately 12 hours per two-week pay period. Working shifts include 0645-1915 or 1845-0715, with a schedule that may include a combination of 12- and 8-hour shifts. This position includes weekend and holiday responsibilities. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Customer service oriented and able to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
Nice To Haves
- Hospital and departmental experience preferred
- Strong initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and perform non-professional services to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients
- Use a systematic approach to assess patient needs and work collaboratively with nursing and ancillary staff
- Adhere to all assigned standards and promote teamwork within the department
- Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and smooth ICU operations
