About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant supports comprehensive health care services for patients and families, working with the Occupational Medicine team and assisting registered nurses and physicians within the scope of nursing practices. The role collaborates with the nursing staff and offers variety and problem-solving opportunities. The position is listed as 0.9 FTE, on the night shift, with a schedule to be determined.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington.
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program may replace the certification requirement; students enrolled in such a program must be registered as a Nurse’s Assistant.
- Successful completion of a Basic Life Support (BLS) course for healthcare providers and a current card.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of institutional patient care experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care as directed by an RN or physician.
- Assist with dressing changes, data gathering, documentation, and vital signs.
- Apply a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and sound decision-making.
- Prioritize and organize work effectively while maintaining flexibility.
