About The Position

HSHS is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical/Surgical (Med Surg) Unit at Good Shepherd Hospital. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment with various acuities. This role is part of the Nursing Support team and involves providing care in a Medical Surgical Unit.

Requirements

1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience.
BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Certification is not required for those with greater than one year experience.
