About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant will assist the clinical team in morning monitoring duties to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively. This position will work Monday to Friday, 07:00am to 12:00pm, based out of our Teaneck, NJ practice location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
  • Candidate must demonstrate good customer service orientation and the ability to deliver consistent exceptional service while demonstrating tact, respect and sensitivity.
  • Candidate must be organized and able to manage a demanding workload with limited complexity in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ability to participate as a member of a team, including reliability, punctuality, and adaptability to new and changing situations.
  • Ability to work independently, follow through, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and respectful manner while appreciating the unique contributions of an inclusive workforce that brings together the talents of people across multiple identities.
  • Strong commitment to fostering diversity and equity.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software is required, and an ability and willingness to learn new systems and programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a medical office environment with knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Epic is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an Ob/Gyn office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Chaperone physicians in exam rooms and document scanner findings i.e. follicles and uterine lining measurements.
  • Assist in unpacking and restocking supplies.
  • Turnover rooms between patients and assist with exam/procedure room maintenance.
  • Assist with preparation of paperwork required for monitoring appointments.
  • Ensure inventory and adequate supply of personal protective equipment and other hygiene products in point-of-entry and mixed-use areas.
  • Inform manager if inventory needs replenishment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
