About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care which supports and complements nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Patient Care Assistant carries out delegated skills that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel. This role aligns closely with the skills and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT).
Requirements
- Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is closely aligned with this role.
- Experience as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) is applicable.
Responsibilities
- Assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care.
- Supports and complements nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse.
