About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant works in the ICU at St. Francis Hospital. Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit, the role assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and helps maintain a safe environment. The position is full-time, with day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and rotating holidays.
Requirements
- State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
- Current EKG certification upon hire.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
Responsibilities
