About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and assists in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The position is in the Telemetry department at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. The listed hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; the employment details also list a night shift.
Requirements
- State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Current phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.
