About The Position
Under the leadership of the Director of Med/Surg, Charge Nurse, or Staff Nurse, the Patient Care Aide takes vital signs and assists an assigned group of patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures. The role recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources. The aide performs related duties as necessary to fulfill customer needs and follows the mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures of Barstow Community Hospital and patient-focused care.
Requirements
- Must maintain BLS CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of California is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take vital signs.
- Assist assigned patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
