About The Position

The Patient Care Aide works under the direction of an RN or LPN, providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The role requires the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. This is a PRN night-shift float position at Lincoln Medical Center.

Requirements

• Candidates must meet at least one of the following: complete the first quarter or semester of clinicals as a nursing student enrolled in an accredited college; have at least six months of prior work as a patient care aide; complete the PCA Trainee class; or hold Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) status at hire.
• BLS certification is required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
• Ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
• Ability to organize, set priorities, and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
