About The Position

The Patient Billing Representative handles inbound calls from clients, customers, and patients to obtain billing and demographic information. The role also processes returned patient mail and statements, researches and resolves account issues, updates patient information across multiple systems, and documents customer contacts to support timely follow-through and resolution. The representative completes scheduled reports, meets monthly performance and audit goals, and performs other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls from clients, customers, and patients to obtain patient billing and demographic information.
• Sort incoming returned patient mail and return patient statements with information electronically.
• Research and resolve customer accounts using patient files and eligibility websites.
• Document customer contacts completely to ensure follow-through and resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction.
• Update patient information in multiple systems.
• Perform account adjustments and recommend necessary changes to the supervisor.
• Complete weekly and monthly reports according to schedule.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor to support organizational goals.
• Meet monthly performance and audit goals.
