The Patient Benefits & Enrollment Specialist will be part of a collaborative team that works to achieve high levels of patient insurance alignment and retention.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication
Experience in utilizing a computer and experience in Microsoft Office products is required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) a plus.
One year of experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
Associate degree, some college, or bachelor’s degree a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with Medicaid, Marketplace, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Sliding Fee Scale applications, including education, accuracy review, and authorized‑representative submissions.
Schedule and manage enrollment/eligibility appointments; handle Patient Benefit Line inquiries; complete insurance verification and resolve coverage issues.
Conduct outreach via phone, Epic in‑basket, email, and Artera texting to support MCO alignment, Medicaid renewals, and re‑engagement in primary care.
Document all patient interactions in Epic, close communication loops, escalate systemic issues, and collaborate with internal teams.
Maintain required certifications, stay current on public coverage rules, protect PHI, and participate in meetings and events as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
