About The Position

The Pre-Authorization Specialist completes accurately and timely all referrals and pre-authorizations for outpatient services provided by Providence Medical Group providers. Acts as a liaison between the primary provider, patients, specialists and health plans. Involves general guidance and direction by supervisor and authorization lead. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Position may require working evenings, holidays and weekends depending on hours of operation for all PMG outpatient clinic sites. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • Perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Billing, or Coding
  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience using technology
