About The Position

This role is for a Patient Attendant Float position based in Nashville and Murfreesboro, TN, working within the Float department at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown and Rutherford Hospitals. The schedule is PRN (as needed) and night shifts. The primary responsibility is to remain at the bedside of an assigned patient at all times unless relieved by appropriate staff. The attendant will assist in calming or reorienting patients experiencing agitation or confusion, remove hazards from the immediate environment, and record all observations.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Must be able to work all locations listed.

Nice To Haves

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.

Responsibilities

Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and report as appropriate.
Record all observations.
